Support senior safety. Support Triad and Mike Huff.
Triad is a combination of law enforcement, senior citizens themselves and senior service providers working to:
Address crime issues
Reduce crime against older persons
Enhance the delivery of law enforcement services
Triad has been very successful in other communities that Mike Huff has studied, it's one of the first programs he'd like to start in Rock Island County.
R.U.O.K. - a simple and effective program to protect seniors
1. A senior signs up for the program.
2. Every day, a phone call is made to the senior's house at a requested time. If the phone is unanswered after 2 attempts, the police are dispatched.
3. R.U.O.K costs next to nothing and is proven effective in protecting seniors.... it just takes a leader like Mike Huff to bring the program to Rock Island County.
